Honors to the greats of air sport at the 2019 FAI awards ceremony
Dedication and Achievements of Air Sports Heroes Honored this evening during the 2019 FAI Awards Ceremony held at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The FAI Gold Air Medal, which is the FAI’s most prestigious award, was presented posthumously today to Domina Jalbert of the United States. Greg Principato, President of the National Aeronautic Association, received the award on Jalbert’s behalf from FAI President Bob Henderson at the start of day two of the FAI General Conference.
The FAI Awards recognize people from all over the world for their contribution to global air sports or their prowess in a particular discipline.
FAI President Robert Henderson said: “The FAI is delighted to honor exceptional pilots, athletes and supporters at our annual awards ceremony.
“I extend my sincere congratulations to all those who are recognized for their courage, competence and commitment. “
The FAI awards ceremony is part of the Federation’s General Conference, which takes place over two days on December 5 and 6 in Lausanne.
