HAL Receives DGCA Type Certification for Hindustan 228-201 Aircraft


Hindustan Aeronautics announced that the type certification of the first indigenous civilian light transport aircraft “Hindustan 228-201” was handed over today by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to the Aircraft R&D Center of transportation, HAL Kanpur at DGCA headquarters in New Delhi.

The Hindustan 228-201 aircraft is the first type-certified fixed-wing aircraft in India to meet the latest FAR 23 certification requirement, which is a major step towards the vision of building a new, AtmanNirbhar Bharat.
